  42.      Image Descriptor is small program with you can
  43.      add your own description to images.
  44.  
  45.      Well, i know that you can use PPaint or DPaint
  46.      to do this.

  48.      But!. Those great programs can`t add description
  49.      to small brushes and they are not free.

  51.      Here comes ID. It can add description to any GIF (87a, 89a)
  52.      and IFF ILBM images.

  54.      Its very easy and its FREE!

  60.     Installation

  62.      Installation is very easy! Just clik on Install icon and install
  63.      script do all work.

  65.     Removing

  67.      Removing is easier than installing. Run "Uninstall" program
  68.      and it remove all ID files.

  74.     How to use Image Descriptor

  76.     In main window you see five buttons:

  80.     Loading images...

  82.      After clicking on this button a file requester
  83.      will appear.
  84.      You can select file for load.

  86.      Default #?.(GIF|IFF|ILBM) pattern is set but you
  87.      can change it and load file with any name.

  89.      IF it wasn`t valid image or if you dont have
  90.      enought memory to load that file ID will inform
  91.      you about it.

  99.      You can select file and ID will write image
  100.      to this file.

  102.      If you select file already exists ID lets you
  103.      choose to overwrite it or to select other file.

  105.      A File Comment will be writed with this file
  106.      contains descriptiom added to image.
  107.      If description is longer than 75 characters
  108.      ID will cut it and add " ..." at the end of
  109.      File Comment.

  116.      window will appear asking you for your note.

  119.      you may also see two different windows.

  121.      If you load ILBM image you may now choose

  143.      After clicking on this button you see
  144.      a window with few informations.

  146.      You may found that two different windows
  147.      are open.

  149.      If ID have in memory GIF image it shows
  150.      you info about GIF.
  151.      IF it is ILBM you see info about ILBM.

  153.      Why two windows?
  154.      Its simple. GIF and ILBM are very different
  155.      images. ILBM images don`t have progressive
  156.      displaying and dont have transparency index.
  157.      GIF images dont have bitplanes.

  159.      But few informations are the same.
  160.      Like:
  161.       - image size
  162.       - screen size
  163.       - position
  164.  
  165.      The last information is about datatypes.
  166.      If ID can`t finds datatypes, VIEW option
  167.      will be disabled.

  171.     Viewing images

  173.      This is new in v1.4.3.
  174.      When you select this button ID will load MultiView with
  175.      path of image loaded into memory.
  176.  
  177.      This button may be disabled in this situations:
  178.       - MultiView is not present in C: drawer (it must be here
  179.         becouse ID look there for it)
  180.       - ILBM or GIF datatype is not installed.
  181.  
  182.      If you done watching just quit MultiView and you
  183.      will back to ID.
